Techno-jargon has certainly reached the realm of higher education these days. Clouds and talk of cloud computing? Course aggregators? Web 1.0, 2.0, 3.0? Social computing? Crowd-sourcing! The Semantic web? Jing? Ning? Ding? It is indeed a strange world out there. In this project which will support faculty in the Humanities Division of the Loudoun campus (Northern Virginia Community College), we will investigate some of the newest technology options for teaching and learning. All at no cost!

Digi hopes to:

  • support the development of interdisciplinary digital humanities projects
  • keep faculty abreast of technology innovations
  • mentor faculty as they work to integrate digital projects and the newest web 2.0 and 3.0 tools in the classroom
  • investigate the impact and application of technology on our study and teaching activities
  • provide a forum for exchange among faculty to share the results of their efforts to teach with technology
